The Carolina Panthers have a solid quarterback in Bryce Young

The Carolina Panthers have firmly established a solid foundation under center with quarterback Bryce Young, whose journey has evolved from early rookie struggles into a story of resilient development.

Selected as the number one overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, Young faced immense pressure right out of the gate.

Although his initial campaign and the beginning of his sophomore year tested his patience including a brief benching the young signal caller steadily turned the corner by demonstrating grit, leadership, and a commitment to refining his craft under head coach Dave Canales.

Young's trajectory notably shifted upward during a promising 2025 campaign, where he showcased sharper decision making and efficient execution to help guide the Panthers to success within the NFC South.

Posting career best numbers with over 3,000 passing yards and 23 touchdowns, he proved that he possesses the poise and talent required to command a professional offense. His progression has quieted many early doubters and earned him a spot among the league's notable players heading into the season.

Looking ahead, the Panthers front office exercised Young's fifth year option, keeping him tied to the franchise through 2027 while management evaluates his long term ceiling.

Team leadership has emphasized that his overall potential remains largely untapped, creating an atmosphere of cautious optimism in Carolina.

With stable coaching continuity, an expanding supporting cast, and a growing command of the playbook, Young enters the new year firmly entrenched as the undisputed leader of the offense.
