Baskets Bonn Secure Second World Tour Title of the Season with Dominant Display in Lausanne

German 3x3 powerhouse Baskets Bonn added another prestigious trophy to their cabinet by winning the FIBA 3x3 World Tour stop in Lausanne, Switzerland.

Taking place at the scenic Place de la Navigation along the shores of Lake Geneva, the team put on a masterclass over the weekend, navigating a competitive international field to capture their second World Tour championship of the season.

Baskets Bonn set the tone early in the tournament during the pool phase, sweeping Pool D with hard-fought victories. They first edged out Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy in a thrilling overtime battle before securing a close win against Utrecht.

Carrying that momentum into the knockout rounds, the German squad continued to execute brilliantly on both ends of the floor, outplaying tough opponents to reach the ultimate match.

The climax of the tournament was a commanding performance in the final against Lithuania's Raudondvaris Hoptrans. Unlike some of their tighter matches earlier in the event, Baskets Bonn controlled the championship game from start to finish, comfortably defeating their opponents with a decisive 21-9 scoreline to seal the gold.

To cap off a stellar weekend, 21 year old rising star Fabian Giessmann was officially named the tournament's Most Valuable Player (MVP).

Giessmann led the charge for the champions all weekend long, finishing as the event's top scorer with an impressive 51 points across five games to solidify Baskets Bonn's status as an elite force on the global 3x3 circuit.
